Say hello to Pachamama Catering, born in 2008 out of my passion for cooking and good food. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been peeking in my moms pots and pans, at first learning by looking and later on in life, learning by doing. I’ve got warm childhood memories of dinner parties with friends of my parents and family, where I learned to taste and appreciate a variety of amazing food. When I started to cook when I was older, I discovered the thrills of going shopping for hard-to-get ingredients, tasting new dishes and trying to copy them at home and nurturing my special people and me with life-giving food.

I have been cooking with great passion and joy for the last 20 years. Over that period of time I have developed my own unique style: an eclectic mix of Moorish and Mediterrranean styles.

With great pleasure and gratitude Pachamama has welcomed Diana Bright in her kitchen! It’s a joy to have partnered with Diana as she is an amazing cook and her ideas about cooking and food go hand in hand with mine. And cooking together with such a lovely lady is so much more fun!

A couple of years ago I was drawn to being a full-time vegetarian, as I felt I no longer wanted to contribute to the brutal exploitation of animals. Besides that, I was never a big meat-eater anyway. From that time on, the wonderful realm of vegetables has fully opened up to me! The reason why I love Moorish and Mediterranean cuisine so much is that they offer endless vegetarian possibilities…

Living in Andalucia gives me the opportunity to get the best veg on the market – locally grown in beautiful red earth. Even though not always available, I use organic crop whenever I can get it. I love the seasons to reflect in the dishes I prepare. Whatever Mother Earth produces naturally at any given time of the year, has the highest nutritional value, as well as the fullest flavor.

I believe that preparing food is much more than adding and combining ingredients, like a chemical formula. It is a magical ritual, in which ingredients, elements, intention and emotion fuse together to nurture body, mind and soul. Besides those qualities for the individual person, food has the power to connect people! It is truly magical stuff.Garlic
